Following their election to the European Parliament in May 2019, the members of the Renaissance delegation (part of the Renew Europe group) explored various options to showcase their parliamentary work, particularly online.
During this study, the need for websites dedicated to members of parliament became evident and was formalized through a European Parliament call for tenders in September 2019.
Citipo proposed its services with an innovation that made a difference: pooling resources and tools used by different members through a single platform.
Let’s take a closer look at this project from a logistical and technical perspective to understand the challenges and learn from the experience.

The organization of the Renaissance delegation
The Renaissance delegation is a French delegation to the European Parliament, consisting of 23 members and affiliated with the Renew Europe group.
Like any political organization, the delegation has two key objectives: to represent the citizens who elected them and to report back to those citizens on their actions and decisions.
As part of this mission, the delegation aimed to support its members in creating websites that could be used by the various parliamentary teams.
Additionally, the delegation also wanted to create its own website to present its values, the list of members, its news, and more.

The strength of Citipo: a centralized platform for all members
Citipo responded to this call for tenders by proposing an innovative approach to these needs: unifying all the delegation’s websites on a single platform.
This approach offers several advantages:
By using Citipo, the delegation and its members replaced WordPress, Typeform, Mailchimp, and Excel with a single integrated tool, providing a single point of contact for daily support;
Thanks to a unified platform used by everyone, Citipo conducted joint training sessions for all collaborators, enabling rapid skill development across the entire delegation;
Citipo is built on a comprehensive and easy-to-use API: through this API, we created a fully customized website for the delegation’s main site (the design was created from scratch);
Finally, centralizing needs significantly reduces costs: each parliamentary team now has a customizable website tailored to their needs, at a low cost.
By choosing Citipo, the Renaissance delegation was able to provide powerful communication tools to all its members within a few weeks, pooling costs and training for all collaborators.
They now benefit from a single point of contact capable of supporting all aspects of their digital communication.
